[edit] Welcome to the Wikipedia
Welcome, newcomer!
Here are some useful tips to ease you into the Wikipedia experience:
- First, take a look at the Wikipedia Tutorial, and perhaps dabble a bit in the test area.
- When you have some free time, take a look at the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines. They can come in very handy!
- Remember to use a neutral point of view!
- If you need any help, feel free to post a question at the Help Desk
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Also, here are some odds and ends that I find useful from time to time:
- Wikipedia:Policy Library
- Wikipedia:Utilities
- Wikipedia:Cite your sources
- Wikipedia:Verifiability
- Wikipedia:Wikiquette
- Wikipedia:Civility
- Wikipedia:Conflict resolution
- Wikipedia:Brilliant prose
- Wikipedia:Pages needing attention
- Wikipedia:Peer review
- Wikipedia:Bad jokes and other deleted nonsense
- Wikipedia:Village pump
- Wikipedia:Boilerplate text
Feel free to ask me anything the links and talk pages don't answer. You can most easily reach me by posting on my talk page.
You can sign your name on any page by typing 4 tildes, likes this: ~~~~.
Best of luck, and have fun!

[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Carrie Bradshaw
I wonder if you might consider withdrawing this nomination? I agree with your nomination, but I disagree that deletion is necessary. I don't think anybody is going to vote delete. If the nomination is withdrawn I propose to redirect the article to Sex and the City and then see if my move survives community approval or not. I think it's better in this instance than the AFD process. --kingboyk 01:41, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] National Research Council of Canada
Hi, thank you for reverting my change to National Research Council of Canada. I am a bit shocked that a "Research Council" is not also a funding body, and I am interested to learn more about how the Research industry in Canada operates. Can you point me towards a good resource on the topic ? John Vandenberg 01:25, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks
Rakerman, thank you for correcting my mistakes in Linnaeus' article. I was in hurry. I was too much busy in reading the article in the magazine.
