As mentioned in Wikiproject India newsletter of March 2007, the weekly collaboration of the Indian wikiproject has fallen from its once high feats. This message is to request the users to visit the collaboration page and help rejuvenate it.
The present collaboration of the week is Religion in India. Please go through the talk page of the article to see the proposed changes in the article. Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 18:36, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
You asked for some feedback, so here it is:
- The Naming conventions stipulate that biographies should be named as First name Last name. Using initials is not encouraged.
- The lists have to be reworked into prose, according to WP:EMBED
- The section about his poetry needs to be expanded. Also needed is how his poetry is received by readers and critics.
- Furthermore, WP:LEAD specifies that the lead section should be a summary of the article, and anything put in the lead should be expanded upon in the article. His political activities are mentioned in the lead, but nowhere else. You might also want to expand on his political ideas and beliefs.
- You need to reference statements such as greatest living poet.
- Consistency is also an issue: Padmashri vs Padma Shri
- Copyediting might be useful; even as a non-native English speaker, I noticed some odd sentences and spellings.
I hope this helps. Errabee 16:43, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, and BTW, I think this article in its current state is definitely not better than Start-class. You shouldn't see this as an insult. I have written many stubs because I simply didn't have more information on the subject. Because of the missing information (critical reviews, public reception, political activities) and the problems with the lists, this can't be B-class yet. Errabee 16:49, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] About adding a new sub menu
Hi Rajith
Can we add a new sub menu to "Thiruvananthapuram" namely "Main Attractions" which will relate to places to visit in and around Thiruvananthapuram like museum, zoo, observatory, VSSC, Happyland theme park etc etc. What say? Just a suggestion.

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Cnlogo.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Cnlogo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 11:58, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] temple entry proclamation
I am curious about the entry you made, saying that backward caste people go to the Padmanabha Swamy temple every year on 12th November. That seems to imply that they do not go there on other days, which of course they do! I have lived in Trivandrum for many years, and I have never noticed all the Ezhavas and others getting together to make a visit then. I am Ezhava, and I know no Ezhava organization makes plans for such an event. Am I missing something? Kindly clarify. Ezhava 17:48, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
