[edit] History

The college was initially known as Ayub Cadet College. It was established in the Pakistan days. The name was changed after Bangladesh independence, and is now known as Rajshahi Cadet College.

Late Wing Commander(Retd)Mohammad Syed was the founding Principal of this college in 1966. He later moved to what was then West Pakistan, and died in Karachi in the 1980's.

Late Gholam Mustafa (on deputation from Pakistan Audit & Accounts Service) was the founding Budget & Accounts Officer of the college in 1966. His services established most of the development projects including three dormitories of the college. He later died in Makkah Al Mukkaramah in 1984. He was the father of cadet 4/185, Gholam Mujtaba.

The first cadet to be enrolled was Shaikh Abdul Hamid (cadet 1/1). He is the founder of ORCA, an alumni of Rajshahi cadets. Presently, Professor Dr.Shaikh Abdul Hamid teaches at Boston University.
