Rajputani

Rajput ladies are referred as Rajputani or Kshatrani. Some famous ladies of Rajput birth include:
- Mirabai, the famous Bhakti saint;
- Ranak Devi of Junagadh;
- Rani Padmini, of the first Jauhar at Chittorgarh;
- Rani Karamvati, of the second Jauhar at Chittorgarh;
- Hadi Rani, bride of a Chundawat warrior.
- Rani Durgavati of Garha-Mandala, born in the Chandella clan
- Maharani Gayatri Devi of Jaipur.
Other rajputni's have figured majorly in legends, often being the prime cause of their husband's recorded exploits. These include:
- Prabhavati, a.k.a. "Chanchal", bride of Rana Raj Singh of Mewar (legendary story);
- Samyukta, daughter of Jaichand of Kannauj and bride of Prithviraj Chauhan.
