Rajapur is located at 22.5667° N 90.1417° E . It has 28131 units of house hold and total area 164.33 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Rajapur has a population of 143659. Males constitute are 49.93% of the population, and females 50.07%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 72392. Rajapur has an average literacy rate of 52.7% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
