It’s really not that hard to use each word in its proper manner. |

Computer science is as much about computers as astronomy is about telescopes.

I am currently a full-time software engineer for a large, international corporation. In the past I've worked as a C#/ASP.NET applications developer for a contractor at NASA-JSC, a PERL programmer, a software engineer on a medical cytogenetics system, and a molecular biology research assistant.
I use both Mac OS X and Windows on a daily basis. I prefer using a Mac for utilitarian computer task (email, web, documentation, media) but the C#/.NET environment for programming (though I'd love to do more Cocoa programming). My professional interests include software engineering and architecture, designing and developing .NET components and controls, biomedical informatics, and image processing.
I consider programming of any nontrival program a job for professionals with a solid and broad education, rather than for people with a hurried and narrow training.

I've lived somewhere near Galveston Bay (including Galveston Island, Clear Lake, Webster, League City, Seabrook and Pasadena) since before 1970. While I've technically lived within the city limits of Houston, I've never considered myself a Houstonian - partly in protest to Houston annexing Clear Lake in the 70s.
No, if anyone orders Merlot, I'm leaving. I am NOT drinking any fucking Merlot!
