[edit] motorcycle ad

Can anyone find the famous ad with the motorcycle on the web? Cacophony 05:28, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

I'm surprised it's not on YouTube! --Lukobe 05:52, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] bear likes it

Is this beer being made again? Looks like a bear liked it: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/3580626.stm --Sonjaaa 22:19, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

It's still made, just not in Seattle. - Jmabel | Talk 06:41, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Images

I've placed a lot of images in Commons:Category:Rainier Brewing Company and its subcategories. I strongly recommend that someone pick a few for the article. Oddly, we don't seem to have any images (except from a great distance) of the iconic brewery at 3100 Airport Way (though I took a whole bunch of the older Georgetown brewery). But I did find some great pictures of the bottling process from a brochure printed in 1900. Unfortunately, I don't know what facility these were from: the main Georgetown brewery was not built until 1903. - Jmabel | Talk 06:41, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

I've now take a bunch of images of the iconic brewery, I'll upload them some time in the next few weeks. - Jmabel | Talk 19:34, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
The iconic ones are done, more to come. - Jmabel | Talk 07:02, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] History

A lot could be cleared up on the history. I don't have a bunch of citable materials at hand, and the topic doesn't really excite me, so I'm hoping someone else will take it on, but there is a lot that could be done to sort out the several different breweries in the company's history (which I think is quite confusing as the article now stands).

Also, Rainier was a major exporter of beer as early as the 19th century. See the text portion of Commons:Image:Seattle and the Orient 63.jpg. - Jmabel | Talk 06:41, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "The Seattle site"

"…the Seattle site had been brewing beer since 1878": what site is referred to? Bayview Brewery? Rainier had multiple breweries in the Seattle area in the late 19th century. - Jmabel | Talk 07:18, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
