[edit] Rail / Batten / Flybar etc

An anonymous user has recently changed all instances of rail to batten in this article. This is not appropriate, since the article title is rail. If any of the other (common) terms are more widely used, then consider renaming the article.

The article is inaccurate. The term "Rail" refers to the Locking Rail from which a stagehand called a Flyman operates the fly system which is comprised of "battens", "pipes" or "system pipes". I suggest this article be rewritten to reflect this.Grohk 14:25, 18 April 2006 (UTC

[edit] Moved to Batten (theater)

I created [[Batten (theater) and updated this article to not say "rail" and now I am moving it to there. I'm being bold again. God bless WP:BB --Lekogm 05:05, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
