Raise My Kids is a New Zealand reality show that gives couples a chance to "raise" children and practise their own child-rearing theories.

Spanning a week, the weekly couple look after a relative or good friend's children. The adults might have all the parenting theories in the world, but find out it's not always possible to practise what you preach. Confronted with the reality of no sleep-ins, children's mess and the daily complications of life with kids.

The couple not only have to look after the children, but through a video letter from the actual parents, they are given three tasks.

Raise My Kids is not a reality show where the aim is to catch people out. There is no first prize or reward, the experience itself is the prize, much like actual parenting. Raise My Kids aims to give couples debating the issue of children the chance to try their hand at parenting in a controlled situation with children they already know
