As of 1991 Bangladesh census[1], Raipur has a population of 213573. Males constitute are 51% of the population, and females 49%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 100491. Raipur has an average literacy rate of 34.6% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. [2]
