Raigarh District

Raigarh District is a district of the state of Chhattisgarh, in India. Raigarh is the district headquarters.The languages spoken in the district are Chhattisgarhi,Oriya and Hindi.

The district was formed by merging the states of princely states of Raigarh, Sarangarh, Udaipur (Dharamjaigarh) and Jashpur. Jashpur is now a separate district. Now this Raigarh is becoming one of major producer of steel. Mainly Jindal Steel and Power Ltd, and other small producer also. The volume can be understand by the statement that Raigarh itself consuming about 20,000 tons of coal per day.

'Syed Shahroz Quamar', son of Haji Syed Muhammad Muslim Sadipuri of Rambhata is distinguished Hindi poet, writer and journalist. He has 8th collection of books in hindi published from noted publishers.Urf Itihaas(alias history) , collection of his hindi poems is noted for its richness of experience. On the level of language the work touches upon various realms of moods in the life of the people.sakshatkar:kaise ho taiyyar(career), Peer parai jane re(compilation of noted hindi writer Vishnuchandra sharma's memoirs), Urdu ke Shreshtha Vyangya ( best urdu satire), Pakistan ki charchit gazlein ( known pakistani gazals), Hira hai to damkega hi ( based on Ramgopal Shukla's poems, hindi poet of chattisgarh), Ghutan ( based on kashmeeri gazal poet Om Garyali). Fire water togather is based on dialogue with shayar and philosopher Ramnarayan Swami Anqa. A literary magazine Punashcha has published a journal on his works. Malayalam Manorma 2006 and 2007 has also mentioned. Now he is delhi based and working on a national project of humanright.
