RAI Sender Bozen is the name of two German language broadcasting channels – one radio and one television – produced by the Italian public-service broadcasting organization RAI from studios in Bolzano (Bozen) in the region of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol in Northern Italy.

[edit] Radio

Radio transmissions from RAI Sender Bozen began in 1960. The schedules include a number of programmes in Ladin.

[edit] Television

TV transmissions from RAI Sender Bozen began on 7 February 1966. Programming initially occupied just one hour daily, transmitted on the local frequencies of Rete 2 (today's Rai Due) between 20.00 and 21.00. On 15 December 1979 RAI Sender Bozen began broadcasting on its own dedicated channel.

Today RAI Sender Bozen is on air from 18.00 until around 22.30 daily; outside these hours it relays the programmes of Rai Tre.
