Rahija

Rahija (Urdu: رہیجا) is a clan of the Baloch tribe Bugti (Urdu: بگتی) and is settled in the Balochistan, Sindh and Punjab provinces of Pakistan. The legendary hero of Baloch history the late Sardar Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti also belonged to the Rahija clan.

Rahijas or Rahejas in India are Sindhi as well as Punjabi Hindu and Sikhs. The Punjabi Rahejas are Khatris and originally belonged to West Punjab (which is now in Pakistan). Rahejas migrated to India in 1947 during the partition of India. After the advent of Islam in the subcontinent some Rahejas were converted to Islam.
