Talk:Ragnvald Olafsson
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Removed dubious statement
I removed this from the article: In Lithuanian language "rag(a)nvald-ys" means the man who govern/rule/control or manipulate witches, "ola" means a hole or a cave, and "sun-us" means a son. It was unsourced and certainly at least "Olafsson" has nothing to do at all with a word "ola". It means "son of Olaf", Olaf being a Norse/Germanic name meaning something like "offspring of the forefather" according to the German Wikipedia. Gestumblindi (talk) 23:58, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
