Ragtown, Nevada

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There are at least two ghost towns known as Ragtown in Nevada.

The older is the site of an abandoned trading post established in 1854 west of the city of Fallon in Churchill County, Nevada[1].

Another Ragtown was beside the Colorado River near the mouth of Black Canyon.[2]

Its official name was Williamsville, after Claude Williams, who was in charge of the settlement.[3]

It housed construction workers of Hoover Dam until Boulder City was built.[3]
