Ragini Shetty probarly has the most important role in Big Boss. She is the Bigg Boss's spy, a fake celebrity with loads to prove, she has to create a whole new identity, create white lies after white lies to convince the Bigg Boss contestants that she also is a celebrity.They believe that Ragini Shetty is the popular south Indian actress who has done several Kannada and Tamil films and is now looking for a break in Bollywood. She is in Big Boss for the love of adventure, the concept of the show and meeting other celebrities. Though the 28 cameras are not really a concern to her, she says she is going to miss long drives & her family. While she is looking forward to learning some interesting facts about her fellow inmates, Ragini hates people who are rude. How well will this south Indian beauty blend with the other inmates of Bigg Boss's house? That is something we have to wait and watch.

Can Ragini carve out a successful future by simply lying? It worked for Chantelle in Big Brother UK. Anyways, she was evicted.

Arshad Warsi introduces the last celebrity and the 13th celebrity that she is Ragini Shetty ,an actor from the South.^[clarify] When she comes out of the car ,she doesn’t get much encouragement.Arshad asks if she can speak Hindi and she replies positively. Arshad says they will meet after 3 months and she goes in to the Bigg Boss's house. Arshad says there is a "kahani mein twist" that she isn’t any film star ,she isn’t from the south and she’s a secret agent whom they have sent and when she goes in ,Bigg Boss calls her into the confession room and she is told to read out the letter in front of everyone aloud.The letter says that they have too much luggage and they have to get rid of 30 kilos.At last,Arshad locks the entrance and now they are locked for the next 3 months!

Abhijatha is 24 years old and has been working as a production assistant for the last three years.She is into writing scripts and wants to make a film. She has also done modelling (Orbit chewing gum and some Tamil commercials that aired on Chennai Doordarshan).Post Bigg Boss, she has received acting offers too.In fact, Abhijatha was auditioning to become a VJ on [[Channel [V]] when Endemol offered her the show.”

Interestingly, Abhijatha worked as an assistant director for serials like Kyun Hota Hai Pyar (Star Plus) and Hotel Kingston (Star One). Kyun Hota... had her Bigg Boss co-contestant Amit Sadh as the actor!

Abhijatha attended Vidya Niketan School and studied visual arts at SRM College, Chennai. She has also done a course in fashion designing from Coimbatore.A few months ago, she began working for an NGO in Bangalore. She is greatly interested in social work. But due to her sister Thara's illness, she had to quit and come back to Chennai.

Though Abhijata’s family is originally from Chikmagalur, Karnataka, they moved to Bangalore several years ago before finally settling in Chennai. Her father, K H Umesh, is a filmmaker who specialises in special effects and animation. Presently, he is a consultant for a US-based film company in Chennai. He also makes films for the Government of Karnataka.

Says Umesh, “I have been making films for 25 years. I studied film making in Paris and worked there for a few years. After returning to India in the ’80s, I was associated with the serial Panchatantra; the first animated show on Doordarshan.”

Abhijatha has an elder brother Ajai Umesh, a fashion photographer. And Thaara’s model co-ordination company is called Ajay-Abhi Associates (named after her children) with offices in Chennai and Mumbai (Lokhandwala).
