Raging Stallion Studios is an American studio, in partnership with Pistol Media, that produces gay pornographic movies. It was begun by Chris Ward and J. D. Slater; Michael Brandon later became a co-owner. Slater's work in the industry dates back to the 1980s, when he did films for the late Christopher Rage; the name "Raging Stallion" pays tribute to Rage. Ward entered the porn industry with a series of fisting films for the Hot House Entertainment Club Inferno line starting in 1996. Michael Brandon starred in several Raging Stallion films before deciding to buy into the company. All three produce and direct video features released by the company. Ward continues to do fetish features with fisting; Slater has a "Centurion Muscle" line; Brandon has a "Monster Bang" line. Slater also does soundtracks for the films, and has released some of this music on CDs.
In 2005, Raging Stallion released 22 new feature films. In 2006 the company had two major hits: Hard as Wood and Arabesque, both of which have set new studio sales records.
Raging Stallion has maintained five distinct lines of films, each catering to a different part of the market. The big change for 2006 is the launch of the new "Youthful Offenders" line, a cross between Wash West and Bel Ami, featuring men in their early 20s. The new line is directed by Lester Moore, an experienced videographer.
The production schedule for 2006 will bring the total number of releases to three titles per month by fall 2006, making Raging Stallion the largest producer of high-end erotica in the United States. With its sharp videography, art direction, lighting, and house style, Raging Stallion is one of the top companies in the gay sex film industry.
In April 2006, a shakeup between Titan Media and Raging Stallion ended in a swap of two leading performers: Jake Deckard and François Sagat. Deckard has been named Raging Stallion 2007 Man of the Year.
