Raghupathi Venkaiah Naidu, was a poineer in Indian flim industry. He was first a photographer in Chennai. Ironically he died in 1941 with abject poverty, as he had to sell off his properties. Andhra Pradesh State Government honored him by establishing Raghupathi Venkaiah Award for life time contributors to telugu movie industry.
