RAGAM, is the cultural fest of National Institute of Technology Calicut (formerly known as CREC-Calicut Regional Engineering College) . Held during February / March, it is the biggest of its kind in Kerala and one of the best culfests in SouthIndia. In size it is second only to the IIT Madras culfest - Saarang. Ragam was started in the memory of the late Rajan who went missing during the Emergency Period in 1975. He was taken in for questioning by the police and was never found again. Thus, Ragam is a symbol; a symbol of students' solidarity in the face of calamity.

The festival takes place over four days, wherein a variety of Literary and Cultural activities take place. The major crowd pullers are the Pro-shows which are held in the Open-Air-Theatre(OAT). Bands like Motherjane, Parikrama, Euphoria, Silk-route have performed during Ragam. Artistes like Karthik, Shaan, M. G. Sreekumar and Balabhaskar have also performed at Ragam

Every Ragam builds up on a theme. The theme decides every aspect of Ragam, everything from the color painted on the wall to the events held.
