Dr. Rafiq Gujar was born March 30, 1961 in a famous Gujar political family of Sindh, Pakistan. He received his MBBS degree from Liaqat Medical College and MBA degree from Stanford. He turned to politics in 1985, and was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan for the terms of 1985-1988, 1990-1993, 1993-1997,1997-1999,and 2008 .He has been part of the Provisnal assembly for the year 2002-2007. His family has been in politics since 1925. He is also the CEO of Gujar Organization which owns one of the largest construction companies. He is also one of the landlords of Pakistan. He is married with four children: two sons and two daughters. His oldest son, Ali Rafiq Gujar lives in Stanford Calafornia USA getting a MBA degree from Stanford University and soon will take part in his family politics.
