Rafael Gordillo

Rafael Gordillo Vázquez (born 24 February 1957 at Almendralejo) is a former Spanish football player. However, as his parents were from Seville, Spain, he went to live to Seville when he had just a few months of life. He grew up in a famous neighborhood in the city of Seville called "El Polígono de San Pablo" where he started playing football in a kid's team called "Unidad".

He earned 75 caps and scored 3 goals for the Spain national football team from 1978 to 1988, and represented the country in two World Cups (1982, 1986) and three European Championships (1980, 1984 (where Spain were runners-up) and 1988). During his club career he played for Real Betis, Real Madrid and Écija Balompié. Currently he is the vice-president of Écija Balompié.
