Rafael Dropulić

Rafael Dropulić, best known by his nickname Rafo is a Croatian pop singer from Ploče, famous for winning Story Supernova Music Talents, reality show aired on Nova TV in late 2003.

Although he had questionable vocal talents, many observers attributed his victory to a perceived bad boy image - popular among teenage girls, who happened to be the most enthusiastic televoters. Unsurprisingly, after the show ended he released only one single which was panned by critics leading many of them to describe him as a one hit wonder. He struggles with that perception claiming that he works on his first album and that he won't finish it until he is completely satisfied with the quality of material.

While participating in the Story Supernova Music Talents show, he was hired by Kraš, the leading Croatian manufacturer of confectionary products, to advertise their brand of coconut filled Dorina chocolate. He was filmed saying "Koookos, koookos i još jedan koookos!" ("Coooconut, coooconut, and yet another coooconut!") in a distinct voice, which became a somewhat pervasive memetic phrase throughout Croatia, and earned him the unflattering nickname "Koookos".

Recently, he has performed at many village "festivals"; at one such festival near Zadar the crowd started throwing chairs at him. XD
