RAF Perranporth

RAF Perranporth was an RAF base situated near Perranporth, Cornwall, in the United Kingdom. The 330 acre (134 hectares) airbase was built as an RAF Spitfire base in World War II in 1941 and is situated on the cliffs in North Cornwall. It has three hard surface runways and two grass strips. In May 2007 the civil owned site which is available for general aviation was put up for sale as the owners were retiring.[1]
