Within the Royal Air Force, there are three main bands operating under the control of Music Services. Based at RAF Uxbridge, RAF Music Services administers three main Bands:
- The Band of the Royal Air Force College (RAF Cranwell)
- The Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment (RAF Cranwell)
- The Central Band of the RAF (RAF Uxbridge)
These main military bands contain with in their ranks the Royal Air Force Squadronnaires, Royal Air Force Swing Wing, Royal Air Force Shades of Blue, and The Salon Orchestra of the Central Band of the Royal Air Force Orchestra of the Central Band of the RAF.
