Raebareli district

Raebareli District is a district of Uttar Pradesh state in northern India. The town of Raebareli is the district headquarters. The district is part of Lucknow Division.

The district had an area of 1748 m². The general aspect of the district is slightly undulating, and the country is beautifully wooded. The soil is remarkably fertile, and the cultivation of a high class. The principal rivers of the district are the Ganges and the Sai: the former skirts it for 54 miles and is everywhere navigable for boats of 40 tons; the latter traverses it from N.W. to S.E. In 1901 the population was 1,033,760, showing a slight decrease during the decade. The principal crops are rice, pulse, wheat, barley, millet and poppy. Rae Bareli town is connected with Lucknow by a branch of the Oudh & Rohilkhand railway, which in 1898 was extended to Benares.
THIS IS THE VILLAGE situated in the south-west of raibareily.this comes in Sareiny Block. The village has progressed very much in educational field from last 5 yrs. The village has a primary school, a junior high school and an inter college named Pt. Acharya Mahavir Prasad Dwivedi inter college. The village also have Private schools Saraswati Shishu Mandir & Vivekanand school.
From this village a boy named Prakash Ch. Trivedi got Selection in IIT in yr. 2005.Earlier he also got a 12th position in all over UP Board Merit List. Also the boys like Rajnish Yadav, Sarvesh Kr. Soni & Rajesh Yadav have got selection In central university Banaras Hindu University.
The village is also famous for its traditional view & due to the bank of river Ganga.
