[edit] Curtis J. Holt Jr.

Hi Rad707. I just saw Curtis J. Holt Jr; needs some work to turn it into an encyclopedia entry. I've marked it as in-use, and I'm happy to help right now, but I don't want to step on your toes if you are busy editing it. Let me know if you are planning to actively work on it today, please? Otherwise I'll pitch in. 9Nak (talk) 14:46, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

Hey there 9Nak. This is my first time posting and have tried my best. Happy to get your assistance to make sure this page is kosher. What do you propose? —Preceding comment was added by Rad707
Sorry, I didn't even realise this was a new account; that initial entry was too sophisticated to suspect that. I've already made some major changes to the entry (at Curtis J. Holt Jr.), primarily breaking it into sections.

You'll find lots of willing collaborators to help with your entries, so don't sweat getting it right first time around. Some starting points I've found particularly useful are these:

Otherwise just keep doing what you are doing, thanks for your contribution, and welcome!. 9Nak (talk) 15:29, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Searching

thanks for these reference tools. i'll check them out in the near future.

one question maybe you can answer - I can't seem to find the article when i do a search on wikipedia. is that because it needs time to upload? somebody needs to approve it? just wondering how I can get it uploaded.

thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rad707 (talkcontribs) 30 April 2008

The entry is live and available right now; Wikipedia has no pre-approval process or upload delay. You can find it directly at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curtis_J._Holt_Jr. (that last bit is "Curtis_J._Holt_Jr." with the full stop at the end; in most browsers you can just use spaces instead of underscores and it will still work.) If it isn't showing up in Google yet it will soon.
If you are concerned that people won't find the page, consider creating a redirect or two for the entry, using the most common versions of the name. I would recommend Curtis J Holt Junior and Curtis Holt off the top of my head. Redirects are easy, useful, and there is a Wikipedia saying that they are cheap, which means they don't take up much disk space or bandwidth.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask them here or on my talk page. I'm not always around (and I'm going offline right after posting this) but I will always try to get back to you ASAP.
One last thing: please sign your posts on any talk page (even this one) by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end. That makes it easier to follow a discussion. 9Nak (talk) 18:15, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
