From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Radovan Jovicevic (a.k.a. Radovan II) is a Serbian-American music and video producer, composer and multimedia artist. He began his career thirty years ago in Belgrade, then-Yugoslavia, as a bandleader and song-writer of Zana, the first pure-play pop band of the former Yugoslavia. As one of the most creative and influential personalities of the vibrant New Wave in Yugoslavia of the '80s, he pioneered synthpop and use of ethno motifs in pop music.

Radovan stayed with the same band during the 1990s, collaborating frequently with many artists of the country that was spiralling into a violent civil war. After the war he moved to New York City to pursue interests in other artistic forms and lifestyles.

Since then, Radovan has written scores for feature films and theatre: Bought and Sold (2003), Recalled (2006), and And Then Came Love (2007) starring Vanessa Williams. One of his projects is DARUNAM, with the musician and actor Manu Narayan (of Bombay Dreams).
