Radlett Preparatory School is a big (450-pupil), fee-paying primary preparatory school. Often known as "Radlett Prep," it is situated in large grounds just outside Radlett, Hertfordshire. The long-serving headmaster is Mr. S. Rundle. The owner is Mr. W. N. Warren, who also acts as principal. The school is known for having high standards especially when it comes to sports. Radlett prep also prefers older teaching methods, for subjects such as mathematics. The school is also a primary "feeder" for Haberdashers school. The children in the school are split into four different groups, named Persians, Britons, Greeks, Romans. These groups are used mainly for athletic competition and 'house points', awarded to children for good behaviour and high achievement.
Noted pupils include Pop Idol and X-Factor judge Simon Cowell.[citation needed]
