Radio Tircoed is a self-funded community based radio station serving the areas of Tircoed, Penllergaer, Pontardulais, Gorseineon Pontlliw and the M4 Corridor between J47 and J 48 West of Swansea, south Wales. It was on-air for a while between December 2006 to January 2007. On February 13th 2007, the station was given permission by OFCOM to broadcast around the clock on a permanent basis. It will start broadcasting on December 1st 2007,alas, due to another hickup we are unable to start full time on the said date,we will tho do an internet broadcast in december (date to be confirmed)
The launch plan is to broadcast a wide range of programming in Welsh and English with original features including children's stories, local documentaries, topical chat, and a wide range of music.
Radio Tircoed was last on air from December 2006 to January 2007.
