From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Go92.5 FM changed its name to Radio One on June 8, 2006 as a part of re-branding exercise before going national in 6 more cities.

Radio One is an FM radio station in Mumbai, India. The station plays Hindi music. It is operated by the owners of Midday, the city's popular afternoon newspaper. Radio One FM was earlier known as Radio Midday. In 2002, the station was relaunched as an English music station. However, it switched over to 50% Hindi music to boost its revenues. But very recently it has switched to only hindi songs to attract a large number of listeners because with the English songs and English commentary it could attract only the youth listening to English songs and not the other public.

The shows aired over the station are available on the official website of the station.

The station broadcasts at 94.3 megahertz since November 12, 2006. Radio One used to broadcast at 92.5 megahertz signifying the traditional working hours of 9 to 5, however, it had to change its broadcasting frequency in line with the Indian national policy of nationwide single frequency per operator.

Radio One is now launched in Pune from May 12, 2008 @ 7.00 am, officially.
