Radio Nigeria Kaduna
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria Kaduna, formerly known as Radio Kaduna, was founded in 1962. It now has the largest radio listenership in sub-Saharan Africa.
It also played an infamous role in the 1966 pogroms that led to the Nigerian Civil War. The theme song for Radio Kaduna during the war went as follows:
- "Let us go and crush them. We will pillage their property, rape their womenfolk, kill off their menfolk and leave them uselessly weeping. We will complete the pogrom of 1966."
