Radio Caroline New Zealand

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Radio Caroline was the original name of the New Zealand radio station now owned by The Radio Network (TRN). Radio Caroline was based in Timaru and named after the near-by Caroline Bay. The station broadcast throughout South Canterbury on an AM frequency.

Originally it was a community based local radio station, until October 1995 when it became part of the Classic Hits FM network.

The FM frequencies now carry 'Classic Hits 98.7 and 94.7' after a second frequency came on air in 2005.

Classic Hits broadcasts on 94.7FM and 98.7FM in Timaru, 1485AM in Twizel and the 1152AM outlet became Newstalk ZB in 2001.
