James Robert Blewett (August 26, 1980) Nascar Whelen Modified Tour Driver
Jimmy, raced go karts at 14 from 1994-1995. In 1999, he got his first race car which was a Pro Stock, and raced it in four starts at Wall Township Speedway. The next year, Jimmy purchased a Modified and painted it in his family's famous colors red, white, and blue with #76. His late brother, John Blewett III raced Jimmy's modified in the first to races at Wall Township Speedway to see how the car would handle. In the third week, Jimmy raced it and placed a very respectable seventh in the 30 lap main event. Throughout the season, he was finishing most of the races in the top 10, and a few in the top 5. During the 100 Lap Garden State Classic, Jimmy and his crew started a brawl in the pits because, one of the competitors wrecked him. Finally, Jimmy served a suspension from the track, and to this daydium he didn't care for any discipline whatsoever. The next week, Jimmy went to race at the now closed Flemington Speedway, and didn't have any luck. A week or two later, Jimmy was wanted back at Wall Township Speedway, and he decided to pick up where he left off. Seven days before his 20th birthday, he captured his first win of the 2000 season. After the 2000 season came to an end, Jimmy ended up in the top 20 in the points which was sixteenth place. Jimmy, took another victory at a track called Chemung Speedrome which was called B Modified.
2001 Jimmy, made a bold move by winning his first track title at Wall Stadium.
