I just wanted to note that "postintelligent" is an awesomely expressive and creepy word. --Kizor 08:34, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Grub Tech

Did the Grubs invent the technology that allowed them to control gravity/inertia, or was it a technology borrowed from another race in their history? I'm sure that at least Exordium was not originally theirs, but came from somewhere else. I've given Chasm City to a friend, so cant check it out myself.

[edit] Pattern Jugglers

I just finished reading Turquoise Days and would like to add a little more about them, predominantly that they have a weakness (possibly only for a short amount of time until they develop an immunity to it).

I'd go ahead and add the information anyway but, owing to the fact that I'm now a member, and I'd hate to waste my time if the addition was deleted later, I'd rather ask other people's opinion. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Oxymoron 02 (talkcontribs) 18:35, 8 February 2007 (UTC).

I'd put some stuff in. The jugglers on other planets (like Aarat or Spindrift) still have the weakness, so it's worth noting. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 211.30.132.2 (talkcontribs).

[edit] Shadows

I was under the impression that the shadows were in fact a race from the future seeking to escape the greenfly, as implied by the epilogue with Rashmika after much time has past (approximately 400 years 2721 ~ 3100) on Ararat, not an "a race of sentient beings who exist on a parallel brane world". This is also supported by "Galactic North". Can someone else please lead their opinion on this matter. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Oges007 (talk • contribs) 10:21, 15 March 2007 (UTC).

We don't currently know exactly what the Shadows are. The fact that the greenfly are chasing them could be a coincidence- this would not be the first time Reynolds has used two universes that are very similar, but not quite (Read the collection Zima Blue and you'll se what I'm on about). I think we shoudl alter the article so it talks about both possibilities.

[edit] Inibitors

Where in Turquoise days does it say that blood spire is an inhibitor object? It doesn't mention that at all.

        • SPOILER ***** No, it doesn't. In fact, it clearly implies the "marble" they use to attempt to kill all the Jugglers was what was at the top of the spire.

Yes it does (so presumably Richard or Roland got there in the end)- but that doesn't mean the inhibitors made it. It doesn't sound like the inhibitors to do something like that either- the inhibitors wouldn't leave stuff like that lying around. Anyway, I was just thinking we should remove the reference to DD/TQ from the article- it can't be verified. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 211.30.132.2 (talkcontribs).

[edit] Jumper Clowns?

Shouldn't they be included in this list too? Alhough they're not featured much in the series, they were apparently responsilbe for developing that strange FTL communication-thingy the Grubs acquired from them. I think that's very remarkable achievement, after all.
