Rachel Nabors

Rachel Nabors (born March 9, 1985) is an American cartoonist, artist, and graphic novelist,[1] best known for her serialized comic, Rachel the Great, as well as her two graphic novels, 18 Revolutions and Crow Princess.

Nabors was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 1985. She left public school in the fifth grade to be homeschooled, and began drawing comics seriously at age fifteen.

Soon after her nineteenth birthday, Nabors self-published 18 Revolutions, the first American graphic novel ever made by a teenage girl for teenage girls. This was soon followed by Crow Princess. She also has self-published the two mini-comics A Brief History of Grifonton and Subculture of One: the Body Issues.

She currently lives in Roanoke, Virginia, and makes comics for gURL.com on a weekly basis. She also runs the manga review and news site MangaPunk.com.

The Friends of Lulu honored Nabors with the 2007 Kim Yale Award for Best New Female Talent.[2]
