Rachel Heal (born 1 April 1973 Bebington, Wirral[1]) is an English racing cyclist and became a member of British Cycling's World Class Performance Plan in 2001 when she gave up her job and became a full time cyclist. She turned professional and rode for the Belgian 'Farm Frites-Hartol' team after qualifying with a degree in Chemical engineering from Birmingham University. She has competed in world championships, Commonwealth Games and the Olympic Games. Heal is also a cycling coach having qualified as a British Cycling Level 2 coach, and is currently studying to become a personal trainer.
