Race Matters is a 1994 social sciences book, authored by Cornel West. The book was first published on March 29, 1994 in the English language by Vintage Books. The book analyses moral authority and racial debates conerning skin colour in the United States. The books questions matters of economics and politics by the author, as well as ethical issues and spirituality, as well as addressing the crisis in black leadership.[1] West's collection of moral essays on race relations in America was one of Publishers Weekly best-seller's for one week.[2]
