Raby Mere is a village on the Wirral Peninsula, Merseyside, England. It is nearly contiguous with the town of Bromborough to the east and is known for its mere, a lake that has been used for leisure purposes for many years. The village of Raby is located three miles to the west, separated from Raby Mere by the M53 motorway. Since local government reorganisation on 1 April 1974, the village has been situated administratively within the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral. At the time of the 2001 Census, Raby Mere had a total population of 780.^[1]
