RaboPlus

RaboPlus is the brand name for online only services offered by Rabobank. RaboPlus operates in Australia, the Netherlands, the Republic of Ireland (operating under the name of RaboDirect), Belgium and New Zealand. RaboPlus offers products and services including:

  • On-Call savings accounts
  • Term deposits
  • Managed funds

As of August 2007, it has one of the highest interest rates for on-call savings account in New Zealand.[1] It is the only bank in New Zealand to be rated AAA by Standard & Poor's.[2] The money invested is used in the New Zealand rural sector.[3]

The bank advertises to customers as "Your significant other bank". It offers online on call savings accounts to customers, but does not offer cheque (current) accounts. Customers are expected to use other banks for day to day banking activities, and use a direct debit to deposit money. Since it opened it has gathered over $500 million in deposits (as of August 2006).[4]

On the 23 May 2007 Rabobank also opened a RaboPlus Internet bank in Australia. It operates under the slogan of "Help Yourself".
