Raul “El Gordo” De Molina (born 29 March 1959 in Cuba) is a TV host and papparazzo, currently the host of El Gordo y la Flaca on Univision.
A well known television personality among Hispanics, Raúl de Molina is seen every weekday as the host of “El Gordo y la Flaca”, a show he has hosted with Lili Estefan since 1998.
Raúl de Molina interacts daily with millions of Hispanic and Latin American viewers in a style that keeps them tuned in, anxiously awaiting the latest developments in the entertainment world.[citation needed]
De Molina’s popularity and ability to capture an audience is evidenced by the fact that his shows were the highest rated while at the Telemundo network. His television career, spanning 15 years, includes hosting and reporting for well-known programs such as “Primer Impacto”, “Ocurrió Así”, “Hola América”, “Club Telemundo”, as well as primetime specials and his own productions. His television performance have earned him multiple Emmy awards.[citation needed]
Developing an interest in photography at the early age of eleven, De Molina is an accomplished photojournalist also whose work has been featured in national and international publications such as “Time”, “Newsweek”, “Life”, “Hola”, and “Paris Match”, among others. His attention to detail and ability to capture the story through his lens, has garnered him a host of awards, too numerous to mention.[citation needed]
In 2003, Raúl de Molina publish a book based on all of the celebrity interviews he has done, and exclusive photos he has taken over the years of the world’s most famous Latinos and important international celebrities, royals and jet-setters. In addition, he is a special contributor for the Spanish version of Travel + Leisure magazine.
