R U Still Down? [Remember Me] was the first posthumous album by Tupac Shakur, released in 1997. Although it is the second album release after his death, it is the first to be finished without the creative input of Shakur. Containing previously unreleased material coming from the time period of his albums Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z., Thug Life: Volume 1 and post Me Against The World(except for the track "Definition of a Thug Nigga", which previously appeared on the soundtrack to Poetic Justice), the album quickly reached multi-Platinum status. Shakur first planned to release the album in 1996 as third album on his Death Row Records deal with more of an R & B vibe to but instead it was released with his older material in 1997. Some of the new tracks such as I Wonder If Heaven Got a Ghetto were added and planned to be on the album. Songs like Baby Don't Cry (Keep Ya Head Up Part 2) can be heard on the Still I Rise album. Having left a large body of work behind, this was the first release from his mother's new imprint Amaru Entertainment, set up to control his posthumous releases. It spawned two hit singles, "Do for Love" and "I Wonder If Heaven Got a Ghetto", the former of which (Do For Love) has been certified Gold by the RIAA.
