Template talk:R from alternative spelling

This template should be called "R from alternative spelling", for two reasons: 1) It's incorrect grammar 2) It's confusing - some redirect templates use alternative, others use alternate. ··gracefool |☺ 07:08, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Templates within redirects are officially deprecated for technical reasons; see here. Categories for redirects should still be OK. Wmahan. 05:11, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

To save anybody who stumbles on the above remark some time: Wmahan is referring to Wikipedia talk:Redirect/Archive 2#Content of redirects: templates, categories, multiple lines. However, all these template are still listed on Wikipedia:Redirect and being used, so I'm not sure whether they're deprecated or not. -- Jitse Niesen (talk) 21:52, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
