[edit] Substantial copyright infringement

Considerable copyright infringement in this article, particularly in the section "R-46 problems in the late 70's to the early 90's tale." Contributing editor ran parts through a thesaurus to try to mask infringement; see for example the following passage from the article:

"MTA R-46s placed on the Brighton Line were introverted after residents complained about vibrations and higher noise level."

Compare with the following from NYC Subways:

"R-46s placed on the Brighton Line were withdrawn after residents complained about severe vibrations."

The web page is not public domain; copyright is assigned explicitly at the bottom of the page to Mark S. Feinman. For that matter, while nycsubway.org is credited for technical specs (which are taken from MTA sources anyway), it is not credited for the artistic and analytical work. There is no notice or release from the author anywhere placing the article under copyleft; therefore, unsourced and unquoted material is a copyright violation. 68.237.14.235 18:15, 14 November 2005 (UTC)

Let me add that the writing is in many places incomprehensible to a native speaker of English. The article needs a major rewrite. Zaslav 01:12, 11 February 2006 (UTC)

Ditto. I'm off looking for a "Copyright infringement" tag now. --Kbbbb 13:54, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
