Dr. R.E. LeMon is currently the Vice Chancellor of the Florida Board of Governors. Prior to this position, Dr. LeMon had positions at the University of New Orleans, the University of the Ryukyus in Japan and Suzhou University in the Peoples' Republic of China.[1]

As Vice Chancellor LeMon leads a system of 11 public universities, serving more than 299,570 students (as of 2007), and a budget of nearly $8.5 Billion. In his capacity as Vice Chancellor, Dr. LeMon works directly under the current Chancellor Dr. Mark B. Rosenberg.
