R.E.M. at Cologne Cathedral
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
On May 12, 2001, American rock band R.E.M. performed a free concert in Roncalliplatz, a public square on the southern side of Cologne Cathedral. An hour-long portion of the ninety-minute concert, which was organised to promote the eradication of violence in schools, was broadcast live on MTV Europe. As such, the first six songs were omitted from the broadcast and the feed ended halfway through the closing "It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)".
Supporting R.E.M. was Seeed, a German reggae band.
