[edit] Appearance
The R-Eins is a Personal Trooper that excels in ranged combat, bearing many physical similarities to the Real Personal Trooper Type-1 and the R-Blade. It shares the same frame, chassis and color scheme of the R-Blade, albeit without the R-Blade's Blade Tonfas. Instead, a pair of beam cannons are mounted on its back, which lock into place on its shoulders for long-range bombardments.
[edit] Technical And Historical
When the ATX Team and Aggressors were chasing down the Divine Crusader Remnants, they encountered what appeared to be mass-produced R-Blades. However, the R-Blade was still in its prototype stages, and not yet ready to be mass-produced by the Earth Federation Army. According to Irmgult Kazahara, the R-Blade's mass-produced version was to be called the R-Schneide, still in its planning stages at Mao Industries. In actuality, these mass-produced R-Blades are the RPT-014 R-Eins, developed by the Shadow-Mirror instead, and brought over to the Original Generation universe from their home dimension. It would be utilized by the Shadow-Mirror faction and the Neo Divine Crusaders, during the second Divine Crusaders War.
All R-Eins are equipped with a Tesla Drive, giving it flight capabilities, and typically armed with head-mounted vulcans, a Personal Trooper-use revolver, railgun, and twin beam cannons on its shoulders. On at least one occasion, it has been seen using a powerful gravity-based rifle.
[edit] Specifications
Height: 19.2 meters
Weight: 50.9 tons
Weapon Systems:
- Vulcan
Rapid fire weapon used to deal with infantry, or to finish off a severely damaged target.
- G-Revolver
A Personal Trooper firearm also available to Earth Federation Army forces. Unlike its base unit, the R-1, the R Eins M only carries 1. Usually used when its other weapons cannot be aimed properly due to the speed at which the unit is currently moving.
- G-Railgun
A railgun used for long-range combat. While the damage pales in comparison to its other long-ranged weapons, the G-railgun suffers no penalty from firing at close quarters.
- Twin Beam Cannon
A pair of cannons that fire high-powered beams, drawing energy directly from the unit's reactor. Like most weapons of this type, it performs poorly against underwater targets.
- Graviton Launcher
A powerful weapon that damages the target using the power of gravity. As such, it is not fired at close quarters. It is devastating against most targets but it has a huge drawback in the large power drain on the unit firing it.
[edit] Notable Pilots
Archibald Grims has been seen piloting this unit. His R-Eins was equipped with a Graviton Launcher, which he used against the R-2 Powered. Echidna Issaki, Ouka Nagisa and Ricarla Borgnine have also been seen piloting R-Eins during their early encounters in Original Generation 2. Later in the game, grunt pilots of the Shadow-Mirror are seen fielding this unit.
[edit] Notes
Like most units created by the Shadow-Mirror, the R-Eins has a self-destruct option called Code ATA, which stands for "Ashes To Ashes."
