The community of Römerstein, consisting of three formerly independent villages is the result of the great communal reform which happened in Baden-Württemberg, Germany in 1975. The community is located at the Schwäbische Alb in the northeastern corner of the district of Reutlingen. The villages concerned are Böhringen, Donnstetten and Zainingen plus the two hamlets of Strohweiler and Aglishardt. The community is named after the Römerstein, the highest hill of the region at 875 m.
