Rónald Mora Padilla is a former Costa Rican soccer player who played most of his career with Deportivo Saprissa, during the 1980s, as well as L.D. Alajuelense.

With Saprissa, he won one national championship, and with Alajuelense one CONCACAF Champions Cup. Nicknamed 'El Macho', he is remembered for being a very tough defender.

After retiring, he began a very successful coaching career in his country, and has coached teams such as A.D. Limonense, Santos de Guápiles, C.S. Herediano and Puntarenas F.C. and currently is coach of C.S. Cartagines, of Costa Rica's first division. He reached the local finals with Santos de Guápiles and Herediano, and lost both to the teams that he played for when active, while with Santos with Alajuelense and when coaching Herediano with Saprissa.

He is recognized for being a great coach, with a special talent to discover future stars, as it was with Andy Herron, Kurt Bernard, Adrián De Lemos, among others.
