Quo vadis is a Latin phrase meaning "Where are you going?" It is used as a proverbial phrase from the Bible (John 13:36, 16:5, saying "pou hupageis, Kurie"). The most famous use is in the Apocryphal Acts of Peter.

The phrase's context is used in a literal or metaphorical sense when an individual has left or is leaving for a long time and/or distance.
