[edit] Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!

Welcome to wikipedia's project to improve articles on all aspects of the African diaspora. Here are the things you need to know as a member of this project:

  1. Add the project page to your watch list. That way you'll stay informed.
  2. If you need help with any articles covered by the project, post a note to the project talk page here. Whatever the issue, members will try to help.
  3. Use the convenient and easy to remember short cut: WP:AFRO to get to the project page quickly.
  4. Far too many articles in the project are stubs. Consider expanding one! (See:)

That's about it.

I noticed that joining this project is one of the first things you've done since you've joined wikipedia. How did you find out about it? :) Good to have another member, in any case. futurebird (talk) 05:02, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "The correct term is Afro-Cuban"?

The "correct term" for what, and where is it the "correct term"?

Here in Britain, an "Afro-Cuban" would be a Cuban who looks like Jimi Hendrix; a Cuban of African descent is an African-Cuban. See Wikipedia:Naming_conventions#Prefer_spelled-out_phrases_to_abbreviations . -- Korax1214 (talk) 04:00, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
